I graduated with a master's degree in public history at the University of South Carolina and I'm currently trying to enter into the field of historic preservation. As someone who has a love for history and culture, working with historical structures and buildings is a dream job. Moreover, as a tutor, it's my goal to share my love for history and learning with eager students who're interested in learning more about the area. While I was in my graduate and undergraduate programs, I also worked as both a teacher and a tutor. When I wasn't working with students in a one-on-one setting, I was teaching the history of the United States or Latin America to a classroom full of eager students. Moreover, as someone who've been through formal education and has lived to tell the tale, I know that the pressure to make straight As can be too much for some students. For this reason, I like to work as a tutor and help remove some of that pressure by teaching not only classroom material, but helpful tips to remember content covered so that students are able to actually understand what they've learned in class. Along with history, I also tutor various math subjects as well as standardized test prep.
